A Bungalow is typically 1 or 1½ story homes with simple lines and large projecting roofs. The distinct feature of a bungalow is the wooden posts, porches and galleries on the front. The first floor of a bungalow has a center hall with rooms coming off of it and can be compared to an American type house. The bungalow style can be applied to any type of house, like the Bungalow shotgun, but it also can be raised or close to the ground.
