Mr. Green

Mr. Green is a 71-year-old retired Navy veteran who spent 27 years working at the VA helping veterans in his community. He and his family have owned their New Orleans home for more than 30 years, raising children and weathering two major storms. After Hurricane Ida in 2021, the Green family began rebuilding their home room by room. The process was slowed by insurance roadblocks and fraudulent contractors.

In 2023, Rebuilding Together New Orleans was proud to assist the Green family by providing a FORTIFIED roof replacement, resealing the building envelope, and rebuilding their security fence. After the repairs were completed, Mr. Green reported feeling safer in his home, and his wife shared that she could finally relax.
